Brian Williamson, the founder of Ketovangelist, is a 40-something husband and father of three (and a grandfather of three). He's been active his whole life (running, martial arts, lifting, etc.), but he can’t say he's always been healthy. He topped the scales at 270 pounds, at his heaviest (he's 6’2″). His journey toward a ketogenic lifestyle began with some research into methods to alleviate the affects of epilepsy (his son has epilepsy). That research led him to discover the science behind the ketogenic way of life, and allowed him the tools needed to accomplish the health and fitness goals he wanted achieve.
By adopting the ketogenic way of life, he lost 70 pounds (he's now 200 lbs), improved his mental and physical health, and started enjoying life.
Using the ketogenic diet, Brian overcame depression, began a huge and thriving keto community, and continues to help countless people every week with his content. (You can listen to his Ketovangelist Podcast, Ketogenic Athlete Podcast, and Ketovangelist Kitchen Podcast).
He's active as a jiu jitsu practitioner and coach, and he's constantly exploring new information and methods of optimizing his health journey.
