Look In the Mirror
by Coach Elaina Wang
You know that moment when you put something new and exciting on, you feel amazing, and you look in the mirror?
For the those first few moments you think, "WOW! I look great!" You get really excited, you are awesome and amazing for those first 20-30 seconds. Then, the trouble starts. You start tearing yourself apart by focusing on every little flaw. Suddenly this new, exciting, beautiful thing is not what you thought it was.
I am pretty sure you all know what I am talking about. For that first minute, you feel like this shadow of a beautiful unicorn, ready to take on the world! But when you focus on yourself with the intention of finding those small flaws you beat yourself up, and you tear that confidence down to an old, beaten up rocking horse.
Walk away from the mirror, and do it with confidence. No more standing there, tearing yourself up, beating yourself down, and looking for flaws. It is OK to be a work in progress. Wear your confidence with pride, and be fabulous.
In reality, that awesome, confident person you saw for those few, brief moments is exactly what the world sees! People are not looking at you to tear you down and, frankly, if they are, those are not your people. Be confident in your own skin.
You ARE that unicorn!! That IS what other people see.
